Saving recs
How should I say a rec?
However it comes out: "Sarah says watch The Bear on Hulu" or "the taco place on Main Street Dan likes". Naming the kind ("the show", "a book called") files it straight away. FavRex has more examples under Settings › How to say a rec.
Why is a rec in Unassigned?
FavRex couldn't tell what kind of thing it is. Tap it and pick a kind. If a guess was wrong, tap the question mark on the rec to change it.
Can I save from other apps?
Yes. Tap Share in YouTube, Safari or another app and choose FavRex.
Details and artwork
Why are some details missing?
Details come from public services such as Wikidata, TVmaze, Google Books and Apple. Not every title is listed in them. Open the rec and tap Look up again, or add the details yourself with Edit. Check that "Look up titles online" is on in Settings.
iCloud and devices
My recs aren't on my other device
Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for FavRex (Settings › your name › iCloud › Apps Using iCloud). Syncing can take a few minutes.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app, then remove FavRex's data under Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.
Sharing
What does my friend see?
The rec's title and details, and the name you set under Settings › Your name. Your notes, rating and what you said are never included. Links work for 30 days.
